About me:
Since my days as a child building "Lincoln Log" houses, I knew that someday I wanted to be a home builder and work in the remodeling profession. At the age of 16, I began work as an apprentice under my uncle who had a remodeling business of his own. I worked afternoons, weekends, and school holidays while completing a two year course in carpentry as part of my high school education. These experiences and education lead to a full time job with a local contractor, starting out as a laborer and working my way up to a lead crew member over the course of five years. I then began my own business in 2000, mostly doing subcontract work for a builder in Conesus. I continue to do subcontract work for him. In 2002, I became a Certified Pella Contractor (CPC). As of July 1, 2009 Pella has changed that program and my new designation will be Pella Contractor (PC.) In 2008, I increased my knowledge base by taking courses through the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and receiving designations in: Certified Green Professional (CGP), Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS), and Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR.) My goal is to expand my clientele base under my own business title.
I live in Hamlin, NY with my wife Kelly and our two children. I could not do this without the support of my family, especially Kelly. I'm so thankful for all of her help and hard work.
